Two new Market Ready Makers workshops are coming soon, designed to help creative entrepreneurs build confidence, clarity, and momentum.

From learning the essentials of vending to workshopping real business strategies with peers, you’ll gain practical tools and fresh inspiration.

​Market Ready Makers

The  "Market Ready Makers" workshop teaches makers the very basics of turning their creative practice into a creative business. 

 

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: 

 

  • Look for events that suit their business needs

  • Complete a vendor application accurately and professionally

  • Write an “elevator pitch” or “about me” and be ready to deliver it

  • Know the basics of what they want their brand to look and feel like

  • Draft a general plan of what their booth layout might look like in various sizes and settings and what they need to make or buy to complete their booths appearance

  • Generate marketing strategies that are effective for creative businesses 

  • Understand what is required to set up their business with local and federal government

  • Learn about various business models and what they might want to build for themselves

 

Most importantly, this class gives makers the opportunity to set aside a block of time to really think through everything they need to do to start vending.

 

Life can get in the way - this is the chance to set aside time to consider life as a maker, vendor and creative entrepreneur.

 
Market Ready Makers: Group Strategy Lab

 

The “Market Ready Makers: Group Strategy Lab” is a collaborative, hands-on workshop designed for makers who are ready to take the next step in building, refining, and strengthening their creative businesses. This session provides a structured environment where participants actively workshop one another’s ideas, business plans, and growth strategies.

Together, we create a supportive space where creative entrepreneurs can exchange feedback, test ideas, and gain clarity on their path forward.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Share a draft business plan and receive thoughtful, constructive feedback

  • Serve as a peer sounding board to help fellow makers refine their ideas

  • Identify gaps, strengths, and opportunities in their own business strategies

  • Clarify their short-term and long-term business goals

  • Strengthen their pricing, product planning, or service offerings through group insight

  • Explore new avenues for growth based on community brainstorming

  • Practice talking confidently about their business vision, challenges, and next steps

  • Build a network of supportive creative entrepreneurs who can continue to grow together

Most importantly, this workshop carves out dedicated time to actively work on your business rather than just think about it.
