What inspired you to start your creative business?

Needed a way to make income during the pandemic but quickly blossomed into a full on business.

What’s been the most rewarding moment in your creative journey so far?

Seeing people who purchased from me at the start of my journey still enjoying their earrings!

What keeps you going on the hard days?

Understanding I have a goal and set backs are a part of this journey.

What’s been the hardest part of being a business owner, and what have you learned from it?

The hardest part is knowing setbacks will happen but nothing prepares you for how often they can happen. I've just learned to sit in that hardship to help me plan my next move then get back up and try again.

What’s one mistake you made early on that helped you grow?

Not picking my audience especially for in person events. I've spent hundreds of dollars doing markets that were not a good fit for me or my brand.

How has participating in markets impacted your business?

It helped me to get my name out into the streets and build brand recognition.

What’s your go-to market day drink or snack?

My go to snacks are any citrus fruit, granola, and vitamin water.

Top 3 to 5 favorite markets to vend at each year?**

My top 3 markets are Renegade, I Heart Indie Markets, and Wicker Park Fest.

If you could give one piece of advice to a new vendor applying to their first market, what would it be?

I would suggest understanding your brand so you can understand your audience. This is something I failed to do when I started, so learning where you stand can definitely help alleviate some of those setbacks that come with building a business.
