Business Registration

Making sure your business is registered with the correct government agencies in your area is an important milestone to starting your business off right.

Each state, county and city can vary wildly in their expectations. Some states only require a person register on the state level, while some cities and event counties also require separate registration. The smartest move is to always reach out to your local city hall or business center and get advice from them, so you know exactly who to contact, and you have the most up-to-date and accurate information.

Don't be nervous! Once you learn this skill, you'll have it in your tool belt and it's not so scary!

This page gives you a list of helpful links on where to find information to register your business. It's not a step-by-step guide, but it's a stepping stone to help make the process smoother and easier.
